Pauwels wrote one of the earliest books about Gurdjieff, though it was from a negative perspective his thinking later became very positive about Gurdjieff. This book presents many occult and metaphysical ideas including conscious memory, intuition and dreams. It contains two chapters on Gurdjieff and his comments regarding alchemy.
