Folded twice horizontally with tears and wear along folds with some age toning and soil.
Written to physicians, encouraging them to refer patients to the Institute. Rear panel is a "Table for Calculating the Period of Utero-Gestation." We have found no reference to the Lusk Lying-in Institute, there there is reference to Lying-in Charity incorporated in St. Louis in 1874 and the Newland's College of Midwifery and Lying-In Institute was active in the St. Louis area in this time frame.
